Map My Memories keeps your trips and your photos so it can draw them on a globe for you. Nobody sees them unless you send someone your share link. You can download everything or delete your account, along with everything in it, from the app at any time. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.

• Your account. Your email address and a password, which is stored hashed and never readable by us. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google and nothing else.
• Your trips. A title, a date, a place on the map, the country, and any notes you write.
• Your photos. The pictures you add to a trip. When you import a batch, the app reads the date and location stored inside each photo to work out where the trip belongs. Photos are resized before upload; the resized copy is what we keep.
• Your share code. A short code, like a first name and some digits, that identifies your globe in a share link.

We don't track you across other sites, and we don't build a profile of you. We count page views and a handful of anonymous events, like “an import finished”, so we can tell whether the site works. Those counts aren't tied to your name or your photos.

Only you, signed in. If you send someone your share link they can look at your globe, spin it, and see your trips and photos. They can't change anything. Share links aren't listed anywhere, but anyone who has the link can open it, so treat it like a photo you'd text to a friend. You can reset the link at any time and the old one stops working.

You can also invite someone to add to your globe. Anyone who accepts an invite link can add, edit and remove trips on it, the same as you, and sees the notes you write. You can see who has joined and remove them, or reset the invite link, from the same panel.

The site runs on Vercel. Your account, trips and photos are stored with Supabase in a data centre in Canada. Maps come from Mapbox, which receives the map area you are looking at in order to draw it. Emails, such as the confirmation when you sign up, are sent through Resend.

Two features send a photo somewhere else, and only when you ask: “Name from photo” sends one picture to Anthropic's Claude to suggest a place name, and is not kept by them. “Import from Google Photos” is described below.

If you choose Import from Google Photos, you sign in to Google and pick photos inside Google Photos itself. We receive only the photos you pick, plus their date. We never see the rest of your library, and we don't keep any access to your Google account after the import finishes. You can remove the connection at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Map My Memories' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In the app, open your world panel (the people icon) and choose Download my data for a file with every trip and photo, or Delete my account to remove your account, your trips and your share code straight away. Your photos are removed from storage within 24 hours of that.

Map My Memories isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep their data.
